The Shieling, gaelic for "meeting place," is located next to Starbucks in the heart of Cadboro Bay Village. This village gem has been a meeting place for many residents for over 34 years. We are, a now rare, family owned shop. Originally on the north side of Cadboro Bay Road, our doors opened in 1986. We have since moved into a much larger space. Inside you will experience the same small town, family charm that The Shieling is best known for.
Although we are best known for our huge selection of greeting cards we also have an array of gifts and home decor. The Shieling is the perfect place to find a gift for a special occasion, with high-end goods like glassware from France's Provence and Vancouver's Art Glass. We also have a wide range of premium spa products including, Pacifica, Thymes, Belle de Provence, and Mistral from France. Upstairs you will find a great children's and kitchen section with clothing, toys, games, and all your baking/cooking and entertaining needs.
We love to meet new people! Stop in to escape the rain or cool off on your way home from the beach. Once you step through our doors you will never show up without the perfect card or gift again. You will be delighted with the wide variety of gifts, paper products, journals, and the “best selection of cards in Victoria”.
